In the past few years, many concealed carry class recipients have requested a decal that could be placed on their vehicle
to show they have a license to carry. People are realizing the necessity for "bad guys" to know they are armed and
trained. This effort may be a deterrent to make criminals look for easier prospects and leave you alone. Think about it, would
you try to harm someone that you thought was armed?
"Remember,
as an American Citizen, you have the right to protect yourself or a third person from being unlawfully injured or killed.
That third person can be your spouse, children, grandchildren, friend, neighbor or somebody that you don't even know."
Let us put this in terms that you may not have explored. Yes, you have
a Concealed Carry permit, this is smart! The truth of the matter is, don't be forced to use it if you don't have to.
At the same time, don't hesitate to use it if you need to!
Lets look at home alarm systems. You may notice
that many home owners have an alarm sign in their yard or decals placed on their windows displaying the alarm system is intact.
Why do they place these warnings so that other people can see? The reason is that they are proactive! Yes the alarm system
is real, so why advertise it? The reason is that even though the alarm system is installed, why bother with the chance of
someone breaking windows, kicking down doors, or attempting to enter? This will cost your insurance to go up, high repair
bills, inconvenience and the danger of dealing with an intruder.
The same reasons apply with the Armed Decal. Yes
you have a weapon to protect yourself, but do you want to use it if you don't have to? This will involve a police presence,
legal fees and possible court time. Don't get me wrong, use it if necessary! We are 100% behind your right to protect
yourself, but don't be involved in a dangerous incident that you can avoid. Life is hard enough already, so why make it
harder?
Some act as if they want the opportunity to use their weapon, that's just bad judgment! You don't
know how things will turn out.
